 If someone asked
me five years ago what my job would be today I would have told them that
I'd be working in a senior capacity at Goldman Sachs. Spending the
first seven years of my working career with Goldman, owning a company
like Running Paws would never have even been a thought.
Now, I can't imagine doing anything else or working anywhere else.
When I joined Running Paws, in January of 2003 we had roughly 15
clients, to date we've served more than 400 dogs throughout the city. Along the way we've built some wonderful relationships with our clients, team members, and other professionals in our industry.
I love that we're doing something we believe in. I love that
we're passionate about what we do. I love that we strive to make a
difference. And I love that we do make a difference.
Something we believe in
Every member of our team has a passion for dogs and athletics.
Running Paws allows us all to combine these passions on a daily basis.
Once I realized that Running Paws was going to be around for a long-time,
I went right out and got Toronto, my 120 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback!
I grew up with dogs and it was something that I always felt was missing
from my life when I was working 70 plus hours per week on the street.
Making a difference
Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of the dogs in our program and their
owners. It's hard to connect to a dog that's
stressed out because it needs more activity. Through our services, our dogs and
your dogs feel better at the end of the day; more relaxed they're
better able to relate to us, their owners.
I can't tell you how many letters we've received thanking us for our
work. But the best letters are the ones that let us know how we've
positively affected a dogs overall health like the one below:
"Hi Josh, Seth,
I just wanted to thank you so much for this year and last year for
running Raizan! her recovery of her strength and leg / joints were just
amazing...
Yuki F."
We receive many such sentiments and it makes the connection we feel
to our clients and their dogs stronger. But, don't take my
